It looks like Silksong could be a launch title for the Swtich 2 after all

After yesterday’s news for the Nintendo Switch 2 making an appearance, I wrote this:

In my inner thoughts, I really think Silksong could make an appearance. We’ll see.

Turns out this could be the case! Youtube creator and legendary speedrunner fireb0rn published a video describing some clues that are driving the Silksong reddit crazy. It’s worth to check it out:

The community believes this is an ARG by William, as TC did something similiar a few years back. When reverse searching for the profile picture cake, we find a specific recipe for it, created on april 2nd last year. Coincidentally, there is a Nintendo direct happening on April 2nd 2025. We also have reasons to believe Switch 2 was announced early, so that third parties can announce their games for it. The Team Cherry website’s copyright has also updated to the current year suspiciously earlier than in previous years.

Will this be finally it? I admit I’ve been part of all the hype of this game since the Silksong announcement in a Nintendo Treehouse in 2019.

I’ve been suspecting that the scope of the game may had made it unplayable for the Switch, or even that they’re delaying the announcement artificially to be a launch title for the Switch 2. But who knows, after all Every Druid was Wrong.
