Apple’s 2025 WWDC
Apple’s WWDC this year felt a bit underwhelming with no standout features to get excited about. The liquid glass interface looks neat, but that’s it.
I’m a bit underwhelmed about this year’s Apple WWDC features presented for all its OS.
The new liquid glass interface is very cool but that’s it. It’s not like there has been no redesigns in the last years, specially on the lock screen which has been revamped in the last years.
And it’s not like there were no features but none I can personally see myself using. All the facetime and messages updates are of no use in Europe where whatsapp is dominant, and call screening I don’t know, I already know that if someone is calling me using the phone will be spam, since no one else cold calls vía phone this days if it’s not to sell you something.
For years I’ve been waiting for WWDC to arrive and then for the public betas to reach a stable point so I can use it on my iPhone –I don’t have a spare one I can install new versions of iOS on– but not this year.
The competence looks at the future and it’s already well positioned for it, but it looks like Apple still has to decide where they’ll be whenever phones stop being relevant as our primary interface with the internet.
The thing is, I want to make new stuff with my phone, my mac, or my ipad, but Instead I have the same things with new animations or new window arrangements.
